Our busy and fast paced kitchen is looking for Chef De Partie /Junior Sous chef to join our team at WEST WYALONG.
As the Chef De Partie /Junior Sous chef, you will be assisting our Head Chef in the everyday organisation of the kitchen and involved in Develop and design the menu, including selecting and creating recipes, and incorporating seasonal and local ingredients and manage kitchen staffs.
You must have great time management skills, be able to work under pressure and a good attention to detail/presentation skills.
Your responsibilities with be:
o Assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals according to Menu
o Develop & design the menu, incl selecting & creating recipes, & incorporating seasonal and use local ingredients
o Assist head Chef to Manage kitchen staffs
Ensuring high standards of food quality & Following food safety & sanitation guidelines
o Supporting other kitchen staffs in daily tasks
o Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
o Assisting in menu planning and development
o Communicating effectively with kitchen team members and management
o Assist head chef in manage the kitchen budget, including labor and food costs.
The successful candidate will have:
o Previous experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment
o A passion for food and culinary creativity
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
o Excellent communication and teamwork skills
o A positive attitude and strong work ethic

Qualifications/Experience
· 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Diploma of Hospitality major in commercial cookery
