Job Description
As Director of Sales, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and enhancing our market presence at the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre. This pivotal role involves developing effective sales strategies and fostering strong partnerships to maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Sales Performance: Develop and implement sales strategies for both the Resort and Convention Centre to capitalize on opportunities and increase profitability.
* Budget Management: Oversee all Sales and Conference & Events budgets, ensuring financial targets are consistently met.
* Collaborate with Marketing: Partner with the Portfolio Marketing Team to execute integrated Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, and digital initiatives effectively.
* Revenue Team Partnership: Work closely with the Revenue team to create targeted action plans by segment, ensuring alignment with revenue goals.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing regular coaching and strategic guidance.
* Performance Monitoring: Continuously assess sales performance against forecasts and budgets, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize results.
* Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Resort Owners, regional tourism bodies, clients, and key partners.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Proven Experience: A strong background as a Director of Sales in Hotels or Resorts, ideally with experience in large-scale conferencing facilities or Convention Centres.
* Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
* Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities that foster collaboration and build relationships.
* Attention to Detail: Keen problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to your work.
* Leadership Experience: A track record of successfully leading a large team, with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire.
