Embrace the chance to take on this rare opportunity by clicking APPLY NOW What You Will Be Doing: The occupational therapist will provide clinical services to outpatient children typically aged 0-6 years of age with complex needs or suspected developmental delay, and children with handwriting or regulation difficulties aged K-6. The role sometimes involves providing care of children with complex or varied needs as a transitionary support whilst children are awaiting NDIS funding. The role also involves servicing the inpatient Paediatric Ward and Special Care Nursery. The occupational therapist will provide evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary and family-centred context and utilise holistic occupational therapy models of care. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery including management of waiting lists and service design. Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within the Paediatric Department. Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and/or development of treatment protocols. 4.Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process. Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills. Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs. Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
