As an integral part of our dynamic team, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of proficient, family-centred, clinical nursing and midwifery care to patients in the Neonatal Unit. About the role: As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, duties for the role will include: Providing proficient, Family-centred clinical nursing/midwifery care to patients in the Neonatal Unit Monitoring patient care to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis Overseeing the provision of nursing care within the Neonatal Unit team Act as a resource person within an area based on knowledge, experience and skills Assisting in maintaining a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection, professional development, and assisting others in maintaining portfolios/records of learning Operational management of the Neonatal Unit with guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager Facilitation of completion of Professional Reviews and development of staff Maintaining and managing the Neonatal Advanced Life Support portfolio About you: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a clinical setting Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate Holds a Neonatal Critical Care qualification with recency of practice Demonstrated competence in Neonatal nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards Willingness to undertake audits as part of standard 8 to ensure quality of service is maintained Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
