This opportunity is for Addiction Medicine (Drug & Alcohol) Specialists to join a high performing and passionate team. This role is a district position located in the desirable South Coast of NSW.
This position is responsible for providing medical assessment and access to treatment programs for Drug and Alcohol dependant people residing in the Illawarra (regional) and Shoalhaven (regional and rural) communities. This position would target marginalised drug users who may have co-morbid medical or psychiatric conditions. The successful position holder will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide drug and alcohol treatment to patients accessing the Opioid Agonist Treatment Program, Stimulant Treatment Program and Withdrawal Management services within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).
As a Staff Specialist you will ensure a high standard of professional performance and, where required, the encouragement of an academic environment which supports research and development.
