This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Advancement Team at St Michael’s Grammar School. The key purpose of this role is to oversee activities in relation to philanthropy and fundraising to achieve financial targets.This role is responsible for the administration, management and stewardship of donors for annual giving, bequests and other philanthropic initiatives as determined by the Director of Advancement, and responsible for the management of fundraising and cultivation events.This is an ongoing, full time role commencing in early 2025. Please note this role will have some after hours and weekend work due to the nature of the role.The successful applicant will have:Previous experience (5 years +) in a similar role, ideally with a focus in education.A strong professional network in the fundraising community.Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to build rapport, interact effectively at all levels of the School and Community, and develop credible internal and external relationships and networks.Demonstrated high level conceptual and analytical skills, as applied to research, complex problem-solving resolution and the capacity to translate strategic thinking into practical activities and solutions.Ability to collate, maintain and mine databases for the purposes of philanthropy and advanced Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint).Demonstrated experience in preparing and obtaining approval of business cases and implementing strategic programs to achieve successful outcomes.Familiarity with taxation and corporate regulation laws and requirements relating to donations and philanthropy for Schools.Tertiary qualification in a fundraising, community relations, marketing, communications, public relations or related field, or equivalent work experience.Current Employee Working with Children Check.National Police History Check (Obtained within the last 6 months).St Michael’s Grammar School is one of the leading co-educational, independent schools in Australia, providing exceptional learning opportunities to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.The School is respected for its exceptional education, wellbeing programs and a deep commitment to innovative approaches to teaching, learning and caring.
