Marsh is recruiting for a suitably qualified Senior Insurance Due Diligence Advisor in our Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA).
PEMA Overview Our PEMA practice draws from Marsh’s in-depth global knowledge to deliver specialist services to the private equity, infrastructure, and alternative asset industry as well as to corporate buyers. We work with clients over the lifecycle of their investments, advising on risks and insurance matters from acquisition to exit, including placing portfolio level insurance solutions. Our global practice consists of more than 150 professionals worldwide.
About The Role In this position, you will be responsible for driving Marsh’s PEMA business within Marsh and externally. This will be done by leading insurance due diligence engagements for private equity, corporate, and financial institution clients, and coordinating the services of various Marsh practices to bring the best of Marsh to our clients. You will utilize your insurance expertise to advise clients contemplating acquisitions, divestments, PPPs and project financing activities.
Core responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the growth of the Marsh brand within the Australian and New Zealand market
Preparation and delivery of due diligence reports
Co-ordination of services provided by other practices within Marsh
Mentoring and coaching of junior staff members
Acting as a liaison to overseas PEMA professionals across the globe
Developing and nurturing relationships with private equity firms, law firms, accounting firms, investment banks, and financial institutions with an aim of leveraging these into future business opportunities
Responding to RFPs
Active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions
Liaising with internal Marsh practices to implement insurance placements
Skills and experience required:
Experience in insurance broking and account management for corporate and/or global accounts
Prior experience in a Due Diligence role, or demonstrated experience with clients considering M&A in an insurance broking context, FSRA Tier 1 compliance
Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong relationship-building skills
Strong data analysis, research, report writing and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
