Job Summary
The Future Student Engagement Coordinator is a key role within the University's Future Student Engagement team, responsible for building and nurturing relationships with WA School and TAFE stakeholders to inspire students to pursue a degree at Curtin.
This full-time, fixed-term position involves daily engagement with high school students, parents, and teachers, providing presentations to large groups of students, attending university expos and major recruitment events, and offering tailored advice to students as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily engagement with high school students, parents, and/or teachers on campus or at schools, helping to settle any fears from students on their ability to get into university, and influencing successful applications.
* Giving presentations to large groups of students on Curtin's courses, faculties, alternative study pathways, early offer options, student wellbeing and support on campus, student accommodation options, student community groups, and how to maximise their chance of getting accepted by setting their preferences in TISC.
* Attending university expos and major recruitment events such as Open Day, and webinars.
* Providing tailored 1:1 advice to students as required.
Requirements:
* A current valid Working with Children's check is an essential requirement for this position.
* Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including weeknights and weekends, as required.
* Must have current work rights in Australia.
* Based in Perth, WA. Relocation and sponsorship support are not available.
