Together with Caterpillar, we've been there for customers - selling and servicing the best equipment in the world - on land, at sea, in construction, mining and industry.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our hardworking and motivated team in Hobart.ABOUT THE ROLEYour number one responsibility will be to provide excellent service to our customers, ensuring they receive accurate and timely information in relation to all of their parts needs.This is a full-time, permanent position offering career growth and development opportunities. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will work Monday to Friday and be required to participate in a Saturday morning roster with some after-hours support (shared between the team).What a typical day will look like:Dealing with front counter enquiries, both face to face and over the phoneLocating Cat parts for customers and techniciansFollowing up and actioning outstanding jobs related to parts inquiries and customer concernsSystem-based parts interpreting using a variety of digital and print resourcesParts warehousing tasks (receiving, order picking and dispatch)Ensuring company accounts receivable processes are adhered to in relation to parts sales transactionsAssisting with the operation of display areas and stock cleanlinessABOUT YOUYou will have a true passion for customer service, with a willingness and desire to learn and develop into being a Cat Parts Specialist.To be successful in this role you will require the following skills and attributes:Mechanical knowledge and a background in earthmoving and/or automotiveExceptional communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic attitudeProficient in Microsoft applicationsExperience working on different kinds of systems/databasesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasksKnowledge of Caterpillar products (preferred but not essential)Why work for us?At William Adams, our people and their safety, health, and wellbeing genuinely matter to us.
