Primary objective The Business Support Officer provides a wide range of business support services to the operational teams of NT WorkSafe. Context statement NT WorkSafe is a division of the Attorney-General’s Department responsible for assisting business and workers understand their obligations under work health and safety, dangerous goods, electrical safety and workers compensation legislation. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Provide administration and processing services in travel, procurement, fleet functions, building access and maintenance and systems access. 2. Manage the distribution and security of portable assets, vehicles, uniforms, and other office equipment. 3. Responsible for processing payment of accounts in a timely manner and ensuring legislative compliance. 4. Be the divisional accountable officer for CabCharge. 5. Liaise with the finance division on corporate administration matters to meet NT WorkSafe’s operational needs. 6. Provide administrative support to managers. 7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business support processes. 8. Assist the Training Coordinator with organising training. Selection criteria 1. Demonstrated ability to communicate information clearly, both orally and in writing within the organisation and externally. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of administrative processes and practices including working with financial matters and systems such as travel, procurement and asset management. 3. Demonstrated ability to work with office software and experience in working with technological equipment to ensure equipment is operational and coordinate repairs. 4. Demonstrated organisational skills and problem-solving ability to prioritise workloads and deal with a multitude of tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines. 5. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team, to attain and share new skills and to contribute to the achievement of common purpose and direction. 6. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures. 7. A current, or the ability to acquire an Australian driver’s licence.
