This position is located in Far North Queensland (FNQ), Cairns, Australia. The House Coordinator is responsible to lead a team of Disability Support Workers, managing and overseeing service delivery of each service outlet, and ensuring a happy, safe home for participants. The House Coordinator will also ensure professional standards, legislative requirements and that the organisation's mission, values and objectives are met in accordance with the strategic plan. The successful applicant will be a highly adaptable and active team player. Skills and experience The applicant will have experience working in a similar role, particularly knowledge of best practice procedures in a similar industry. Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with staff and managers to coordinate shifts. Well-developed capacity to manage the competing demands of a busy environment, work to deadlines and maintain attention to detail. Previous experience with software such as CareMaster or similar. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Duties include but are not limited to: Managing a team of support workers within a service outlet and/or community setting. Collaborating with participants and relevant stakeholders to gather input for developing person-centred care plans for ISS participants. Collaborating with participants to identify goals through a person-centred approach and assisting to work towards achieving their individual goals.
