Key Responsibilities
* Supporting children with their learning and general wellbeing, helping them reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment.
* Providing tailored support, including care needs and positive behaviour management, where required.
* Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils to ensure they feel secure and valued during their time at school.
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated educational activities as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Promoting independence and personal development while maintaining high standards of behaviour.
* Adapting to the varied nature of the role and providing support wherever needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with SEN in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
* A GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above qualification (essential).
* A Level 2 or above qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable).
* An understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
* Flexibility, creativity, and a child-focused approach.
* A positive, proactive attitude toward meeting individual pupils' needs.
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own car (desirable).
