The role of the Dermatology Staff Specialist is to provide high quality clinical services to benefit the patients / clients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future, including dermatology trainees, junior doctors and medical students.
The role will provide specialist dermatology care to the ongoing delivery and further enhancement of an inpatient and outpatient dermatology service to the patients of the THHS. A key part of the role will be to provide teaching and supervision to accredited registrars of The Australasian College of Dermatologists, and junior doctors who aspire to become dermatologists.
The occupant of this role will provide leadership in the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the speciality, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with the THHS and Queensland Health (QH) policies, in a hospital, community and outreach setting.

1. Generous remuneration package value up to $483,811 p.a. comprising:
2. Salary range of $7827.20 to $9924.00 p.f. (L18 - L27)
3. 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
4. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

6. Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
7. Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave

Candidate Requirements:
9. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
10. Specialist Registration: You will hold specialist registration (or be eligible to hold) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a dermatologist. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
11. Travel: this position may require the incumbent to work at other facilities within the THHS.
12. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
13. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
14. Probation period may apply.
