APS3 Legal Support Officer
Approximate 6-month contract with possibility of extension | Perth Location | $41.68 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation
OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Legal Support Officer to join their team at the APS3 level. Within this role you will be responsible for providing a range of general administrative support services to the legal practice, including case administration, case preparation and witness coordination.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Case Administration activities – creation and administration of case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, meeting administration, records management (including archiving).
* Witness Coordination – drafting summons/subpoenas, liaison (e.g. providing updates), arranging travel and other related tasks.
* Case Preparation – preparing materials, lodging/filing documentation, conducting basic research activities, video conferencing and arranging interpreters and translators.
* Case Liaison – liaising with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts and counsel.
* Building rapport and maintaining internal and external relationships.
* Responding to enquiries and providing accurate advice in a timely manner.
* Adapting communication (both verbal and written) to suit the identified audience.
* Identifying and escalating issues to senior staff members
* Undertaking appropriate learning and development activities as required.
