Job Title: System Administrator with Accounts KnowledgeLocation: Southern Cross GP Clinics (Multiple Locations)Reports To: Manager/Clinic ManagerJob Type: Full-Time Job Summary:Southern Cross GP is seeking a skilled System Administrator with a strong background in IT systems and accounting knowledge to manage our clinic’s technological infrastructure while supporting financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of IT systems across our clinics. Additionally, they will assist with accounts management, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and aiding in processes such as billing, payroll, and financial reporting.This is a dual-function role, requiring expertise in both IT systems and basic accounting to ensure seamless clinic operations. Key Responsibilities:System Administration:Install, configure, and maintain server systems, network infrastructure, and user accounts.Provide troubleshooting and technical support to staff across multiple clinic locations.Monitor system performance and ensure the security and integrity of the network.Manage backups, system updates, and disaster recovery plans.Maintain software licensing and ensure all systems are compliant with relevant regulations.Assist with clinic system integrations, including medical software updates and patient management systems.Accounts & Financial Support:Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.Support billing and financial reporting through practice management software.Oversee the financial database and ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation.Work with the finance team to manage payroll, tax compliance, and financial audits.Monitor clinic budgets and expenses, identifying areas of improvement for cost efficiency. Qualifications:Technical Expertise:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role (minimum 2-3 years).Experience with network administration and IT infrastructure.Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, Medical Director).Strong understanding of IT security protocols and data protection regulations.Accounting Knowledge:Basic understanding of accounting principles (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliation).Experience with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks).Familiarity with Medicare billing and private healthcare claims is advantageous.Additional Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.Collaborative attitude and willingness to work across departments.
