About the Role Reporting to the Manager: Search and Data Management Support, you will contribute to the design, development, implementation and support of corporate and research data management environments using a variety of database technologies. This includes gathering requirements, prototyping solutions, designing, developing, testing, reviewing and implementing database and data management solutions as well as assisting with the formulation and continual improvement process of standards and release procedures. In addition, you will provide technical advice and assistance across the architecture and design; develop and implementation of corporate databases and service and support existing database management and their underlying technologies. About Information Strategy and Technology Services Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS), which has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of the UniSA’s considerable IT infrastructure and services has approximately 150 staff in 9 key areas. The University’s Research and Data Management Support team ensures the effective and efficient delivery of specific information technology solutions including the development, and support of database management services using a variety of technologies including: Oracle, SQL Server, Web Logic, PostgreSQL, MariaDB. Essential Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience in the architecture, design, development and support of database management systems and services, data integration environments and research data management in a large enterprise environment Demonstrated well developed interpersonal skills and a high level of written and verbal skills to enable effective and appropriate communication with staff at all levels of a complex organisation Demonstrated experience in service management framework (such as ITIL) particularly in relation to incident, change and problem management Demonstrated ability to implement application, database and operating system security in a large and complex information technology environment Benefits Getting a great job working with the best is just the start.
