About the Role:
This position will lead the afternoon shift Quality Assurance support function to ensure all finished products are approved and in compliance with Arnott’s food safety and quality systems, focusing on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include completing documentation, following up on actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Planning, Finance, etc.) to achieve objectives. Strong influencing, coaching, and communication skills are essential for addressing consumer complaints, regulatory requests, and correspondence with the global quality team. IT and technical skills are also necessary for supporting manufacturing teams in fault finding and continuous improvement activities

What your days look like:
* Manage daily quality activities, including line walks, product holds, and incident investigations to ensure safety and quality.
* Review and approve cGMP documentation for material release.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, including reduction of consumer complaints and enhancing GMP standards.
* Maintain and simplify the site's Quality Management System, including GFSI, SQ, and regulatory compliance.
* Interact with suppliers and internal customers for documentation and perform SAP transactions for material release and quality functions
The Ingredients for Success:
* Tertiary degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent beneficial but not essential.
* Understanding of Quality Management Systems, HACCP programs, and quality auditing.
* 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance in the food, pharmaceutical, or similar industries.
* Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
* Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; desirable knowledge of databases (Access) and SAP/ERP systems, along with statistical analysis skills.
