As the Retail Store Assistant Manager you will help to oversee the daily operations of our store.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader with a passion for customer service, sales excellence, and team development.
You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience and ensuring our store and the service provided reflects our brand image as well as helping the Store Manager to drive profitability and achieve sales targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Customer Service and Sales: Greet customers warmly and provide personalised assistance to meet their needs, ensuring a memorable shopping experience.Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.Stay up-to-date with VRG GRL collections, in-store and online promotions to provide informed style advice and accurate information to customers.Answer all phone calls and customer inquiries making sure issues are resolved promptly and excellent customer service standards are maintained.Help to drive sales through effective floor management, actively engaging with customers, promoting products, and closing sales efficiently.Efficiently process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and maintain accurate sales records following all processes and procedures.Process Refunds / Store Credits / Exchanges accurately following brand policies and terms of sale.Assist the Store Manager in monitoring sales performance.2.
Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation Assist in maintaining the visual presentation of the store, including organising merchandise, restocking items, and ensuring displays are attractive and on-brand.Ensure the store is clean, organised, and safe for customers and staff at all times.Ensure the store layout and product displays are visually appealing and meet brand standards.Regularly review merchandising guidelines and update displays to optimise sales alongside the Store Manager.3.
Operational Excellence: Assist in overseeing day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock movements, stockroom and store organisation and pricing.Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.Assist in setting up and executing store promotions and displays to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.Alongside the Store Manager, assist in monitoring store expenses and budgets.Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.4.
Team Collaboration and Leadership Work closely with team members to achieve store goals, participate in team meetings, and contribute to a positive work environment.Help to train and supervise a team of retail staff.Provide feedback to team where applicable.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and high morale.5.
Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees.Assist in ensuring safety protocols are followed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.6.
