TheOpportunity We arelooking for a motivated Town Maintenance Officer to join ourOperations Team in Wyndham to assist in the daily maintenance ofparks and reserves, roads and drainage, reticulation systems andother works in the Wyndham town site and surrounds.The role willalso assist other Operational team members as required (i.e.Wyndham Landfill, Kununurra operations staff) from time to timeupon request by line management.Your responsibilities willinclude: Undertaking dutiesrelating to maintenance and construction projects that enhanceor modify the parks, sporting facilities, public open spaces,reserves, cemetery's, streets and Shireablutions; Takingpart on roadside preparation and maintenance including treeplanting, removing litter, trimming, whipper snipping, tree andbranch removal, clean up after storms etc Gardening dutiesincluding mowing, fertilising, planting, pruning, edging,reticulation maintenance and weed control; Operating fleetincluding truck/trailer, and plant equipment to carry outmaintenance requirements; Operating plant andequipment and ensuring that all equipment is well maintainedand faults are reported immediately to ensure best use and safeequipment; Maintaining plant andequipment log books and completing end of day checks soequipment is work-ready for the next day; Ensuringthat tools, machinery, equipment and workshop is maintained toa high standard; Attending andparticipating in team meetings, tool box meetings, inductionsand other required training; Following organisationalspecific procedures and processes at all times; Activelycontribute to team planning and be committed to strong workproductivity and high-quality outputs; Utilising initiative tosolve routine problems and determine ways to improve efficiencyand performance. Relevantqualifications in Grounds maintenance, Machinery Operation andHorticulture or landscaping, current Blue/ White ConstructionSafety Card, current unrestricted WA Manual "MR' or"HR" Class Driver's Licence and current First Aidqualification are essential for this role. You will alsoneed experience in lawn and garden maintenance, good customerservice skill, ability to work outdoors in East Kimberleyconditions, ability to safely operate relevant equipment and strongcommunication skill.
