Primary objective Provide high level critical analysis, strategic advice, planning and implementation support across the Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) governance and risk frameworks, policies, and processes, contributing towards embedding a culture of integrity. Context statement The PGT provides essential services in the areas of adult guardianship, estate administration and trust management. It also provides will-making services and provides a will and Advance Personal Plan registration and storage service. This role collaborates on policy development, supports compliance efforts, and addresses emerging issues, actively contributing to the PGT’s strategic goals. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Maintain, support the analysis, and provide input on governance structures, corporate policies, performance, and risk management related to the PGT’s strategic and operational activities. 2. Assist in researching, developing, and maintaining policies to assist the PGT meet legislative compliance obligations. 3. Contribute to organisational goals and planning by gathering data, supporting performance measure, and undertaking analytics and reporting tasks to drive quality improvement. 4. Monitor emerging issues and support the implementation of policy responses based on knowledge of relevant legislation and operational practices. 5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support a collaborative and outcome-based approach to governance, quality assurance and risk management requirements. 6. Assist in preparing briefing papers, reports, and other materials on sensitive or confidential topics. 7. Provide secretariat support for the PGT governance, risk and quality related meetings and committees, including coordinating agendas, preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, and tracking follow-up actions to ensure effective governance, accountability, and improvement planning. Selection criteria Essential 1. Ability to think strategically with strong, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 2. Experience with policy support, project assistance, and understanding of governance and risk frameworks. 5. Familiarity with project co-ordination and quality assurance programs including research and data analytics tools and reporting processes. 7. Understanding of business and strategic planning processes and ongoing reporting against plans. Desirable 1. Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as business, policy, risk management, law or similar.
