From power lines to water mains, your work plays a key role in protecting vital infrastructure and delivering the high-quality results that MNG Locate is known for. You’ll also have the chance to work alongside our SubSpatial (Geophysics) team, using top-of-the-line multi-array GPR (and other) equipment to capture detailed subsurface infrastructure and geological data. It’s a hands-on role that suits someone who loves solving problems, working with precision, and is keen to keep learning and growing in a fast-moving industry. Your key responsibilities: Conduct control, detail/feature surveys – including utility locating pickups Perform engineering set outs and as-built surveys Interpret and apply understanding of underground service plans (such as BYDA and/or As-Constructed Drawings) Acquire data using top-of-the-line StreamDP GPR system (and other equipment). Utilising processing software to create digital plans/drawings. Skills And Experiences What you bring to the table Technical: Experience in surveying and underground utility locating (ideally) Ability to operate high-tech survey (Leica) and GPR equipment (GPR training can be provided) Teamwork: You’re a team player with a positive attitude who knows how to have fun You communicate openly and honestly, and work well with others You’re adaptable in differing field conditions and tasks Innovation: You’re driven to grow and develop professionally You think outside the box and have strong problem-solving skills Able to adapt and apply your current skillset to aide in the continued growth of our team Knowledge: You bring a strong work ethic and willingness to learn You work safely and follow procedures with care and attention A keen eye for detail and appreciation for high quality standards What you will need A qualification in Surveying (preferred), Utility Locating, or a related field A willingness to learn GPR data acquisition and subsurface utility engineering (experience a plus) A current driver’s license The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
