We could tell you all about our story, how we were founded in 1948 and how we’re the largest specialised staffing agency in the world and then take you on a long (possibly boring) journey, but it’s probably more pertinent to tell you about who we are today. If you’re inexperienced then based on your own individual motivations and goals, we’ll guide you to create some targets for you to achieve success. If we didn’t guide you in that we wouldn’t be supporting you in your new sales career. That means picking up the phone and speaking with people you don’t know. If you’re not prepared to do that then you should probably stop reading now. We’re a relationship, customer-focused business and you can only build your business by speaking with people, a lot. We’ll give you the tools including industry-leading technology, the training, and the support to build your own business within our business. However, if you’re an experienced recruiter then we’ll sit with you to discuss what you’re looking to achieve in the first few months and we’ll hold you accountable to that. After all, you’ll back yourself to deliver. It’s too rigid, you’re too big. I can’t be myself, can I? We want different personalities, different backgrounds, people with fresh ideas and creative thoughts. In terms of our methodology, we have some tried and tested best practices that you’ll find many of our competitors have attempted to adopt over the years. We’ll train you on how to deliver these and help you get up and running really quickly. But we want your personality to shine through. Your internal brand here is just as important as your external brand, therefore we want you to be yourself. Isn’t recruitment too salesy? This job does involve sales. Most people perceive that doing sales is all about talking – it is in a lot of industries. In recruitment it definitely shouldn’t be. Yes, you need to be coherent when speaking; but the sales component here is all about listening – how can we understand what both our clients and candidates need from us if we don’t ask them intelligent questions and then listen intensely to what they tell us. In addition, you need to thrive when developing relationships and be intellectually and socially capable of holding a conversation with people who operate at all levels of a business. WHO ARE YOU?
