In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Coal Clearance Superintendent to join the leadership team at Moranbah North Mine on a full-time, permanent basis with Anglo American. Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Coal Clearance Superintendent is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of the site’s Asset Management processes and systems through the delivery of accurate and timely asset management and forecast plans.The role will be rewarding and varied and will involve the following, not limited to:Apply disciplined and proven methods of work management to develop a fit-for-purpose plan and schedule, which is resourced and communicated to ensure assets are maintained at optimum levels for the mine.Develop and implement asset life-cycle medium and long-term maintenance planning and budgeting forecasts.Subject matter expert for specialist asset in the areas of process, audit, compliance.Development and implementation of asset management policies, strategies and improvement plans.Engage with relevant stakeholders, including planners and coordinators to ensure that the mining process and maintenance activities align with the mine production plan.Lead the establishment, implementation, maintenance, auditing and improvement of site’s asset management system, consistent with SMC asset management policy.Interpret and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to support asset system improvement activities.Project manage the delivery of initiatives and activities for asset systems and process improvement.Provide asset management coaching, training and specialist advice to direct reports and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.QualificationsTertiary qualification in Engineering or a relevant trade combined with practical experience.Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the Resources sector.Strong knowledge of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and Coal Mining practices is required.Strong track record with engaging with stakeholders across multiple sites and workstreams.In-depth knowledge of Maintenance systems.Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset.Track record of interfacing with and influencing across all functions of the business.Additional InformationPermanent, full-time position at Moranbah North Mine, Moranbah QLDMonday to Friday site role with 9-day fortnight availableCompetitive Salary + 12% Superannuation + Annual BonusResidential, FIFO (company funded) & DIDO optionsSeveral conveniently timed, daily bus transfers from the airport to camp and onto siteSubsidised Anglo accommodation and company funded camp with meals providedDomestic Relocation assistance to Moranbah townshipGym membership perksAnglo American company benefitsWhat we OfferWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
