About Your Role
The Senior Pharmacist, District Drug & Alcohol Service, will develop and deliver high standard clinical pharmacy, dispensary and administration services to MLHD patients.
The role is also responsible for centralising dispensing, labelling, and distribution of OTP medications for all consumers dosed in MLHD settings. With an essential clinical pharmacy review and risk mitigation layer for safe management and administration of OTP medications provided by MLHD pharmacies.
The specialised Drug & Alcohol pharmacist will work collaboratively as part of the AOD clinical team to assist caring for our consumers, tracking medication expenditure, revenue and administering long-acting injectable buprenorphine (LAIB). A core part of the pharmacist’s role will be to strategically engage with our community pharmacy and primary care partners to transition dispensing and administration of LAIB to community pharmacies and primary care.
The Senior Pharmacist will participate in a diverse range of roles, including but not limited to: governance, research, team education, and administration.
