Production Operators – Somersby Are you looking for an exciting career opportunity in the growing building industry?
We have multiple permanent opportunities located at our Hebel Manufacturing site in Somersby.
We're seeking candidates with a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, great communication skills, good work ethics and strong safety behaviours.
Previous manufacturing experience or a valid Forklift license would be desirable but not essential.
We will deliver training to set you up for success.
About the opportunities:In this role, you'll be part of a team of operators where safety is paramount, with responsibility for operating machinery, identifying and reporting issues and ensuring our products achieve and perform to commercial standards.This role will work across a rotating roster across day, afternoon and night shifts, Mon – Fri (8 hours) and Friday (6 hours) with regular overtime available.
Responsibilities include: * Engage with the team to ensure the delivery of safe, low cost, efficient and high-quality production * Deliver on production KPIs * Ensure appropriate communication and feedback is maintained, including technical review and recommendation of optimum machine / site running conditions * Complete routine maintenance tasks, such as high-pressure cleaning, removal of waste material from pits, channels, and vessels * Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, including shovelling, sweeping, painting and vacuuming, * Test operation of machines periodically & fix issues that might occur during the shift * Maintain activity logs & carry out quality inspections About you: * Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments * Proven capacity to collaborate effectively within a team setting * Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving * Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal * Strong computer skills * Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including consistent utilization of protective equipment * Excellent physical endurance and strength * High school diploma or equivalent; technical education background preferred * Capability to operate a forklift – not essential At CSR, we're building a better future together.We are a family of 2,600 people across Australia and New Zealand, and we are all collaborating every single day towards a shared purpose - 'Building solutions for a better future'.
