In this multifaceted role, you'll provide comprehensive support to the Hon Pat Weir MP, ensuring smooth operations within the Electorate Office.
About The Role
As an Assistant Electorate Officer, you will work closely with the Member and the Electorate Officer to support them with their Parliamentary duties. This position is a shared, permanent part-time role working a five-day fortnight.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a range of duties including:
Providing confidential secretarial and administrative services;Liaison with constituents;Preparation of correspondence;Providing assistance with the day-to-day operation of the electorate office. Applicants Must Possess Advanced oral and written communication skills;Well-developed computing skills with competency in the Microsoft Suite;Well-developed social media management skills;The ability to quickly acquire relevant knowledge in order to work with limited supervision;Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment;A strong knowledge/interest of issues relevant to the electorate.
Experience in the small business sector and rural and regional environments would be advantageous.
