What you'll be doing
The position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of property accounting for the Charter Hall portfolio of retail assets including financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting and all associated reporting.
The position will work with key stakeholders to ensure management reporting supports operational decision making and ensure adherence with internal controls, policies and procedures in the management of Charter Hall retail properties.
Key responsibilities are :
1. Overall responsibility for integrity and delivery of accounting results and management reporting for all retail properties and marketing funds.
2. Manage the working relationship between the property accounting team and centre management team to ensureprehensive business partnering.
3. Manage the annual property outgoings and marketing fund audit process.
4. Project manage the delivery of all property budgeting and forecasting activities and related reporting.
5. Manage the annual property outgoings estimates and marketing fund budget process.
6. Manage and develop a team of finance professionals.
7. Coordinate the financial aspects of property capital transaction including financial support during due diligence process, settlement adjustment calculation, settlement statement preparation, onboarding/ offboarding properties to/ from ERP system, and post settlement clearance.
8. Manage the working relationship between the property accounting team and centre management team to ensureprehensive business partnering.
9. Manage the working relationship with IT to ensure data integrity and implement process improvement in key ERP systems.
10. Challenge status quo, identify business improvement opportunities and drive changes.
11. Ensure adherence to Charter Hall's obligations under relevant legislation including various Real Estate Licensing requirements

Technical & Experience:
38. Qualified accountant with minimum 5 years post-qualified experience
39. Proven track record of leading and managing a team of financial professionals
40. Proven track record of project managing the delivery of financial deliverables
41. High system proficiency - exposure to various systems and large dataset
