As part of the Procurement & Supply Chain team, the Supplier Partnership Manager will take the lead in executing and driving supplier strategies and business plans. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring we maximize value from our strategic suppliers while minimizing risks and corporate liability. This role is crucial for AusNet, involving a customer-responsive, collaborative, and insight-led approach. Your responsibilities will include delivering new sources of value beyond cost and using innovative strategies to proactively influence critical business decisions related to external expenditures with key suppliers. Excitingly, you'll also lead major procurement initiatives with key suppliers related to AusNet's new in-house digital and technological functions. The nominal base location for this position is Southbank, however we are a truly hybrid and flexible workplace (3/2 split) so happy to discuss and explore other suitable base location depots with you. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Develop supplier strategies based on business inputs, market insights and best practices. Assess importance / criticality of suppliers based on an agreed framework and segmentation process. Develop, execute and deliver supplier business plans that are robust and structured based on collective inputs from the suppliers as well as the LoB's. Set and deliver supplier objectives in line with the agreed supplier strategies and business plan. Provide support to the broader Procurement and Supply Chain team including sourcing and category managers on issues and exceptions. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally. Inform impacted Lines of Business on the status of their suppliers. Develop and lead supplier continuous improvement programmes. Conduct market intelligence to identify industry trends, supplier capabilities, and market conditions that may affect supply chains. Monitor competitor practices and market positioning to ensure the supplier strategy remains competitive. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Significant supplier and commercial management experience within Procurement & Supply Chain. Extensive experience in supplier relationship management, with a proven track record of managing complex strategic supplier arrangements and related services. Current knowledge and experience with: Utilities industry is an advantage. Technology industry or organisation is an advantage. Project management and problem solving is an advantage. Financial budgeting and planning is an advantage. Current knowledge and experience with contractual law and regulations is an advantage. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. A real place to belong.
