About Us:
As a result of sustained growth and increasing demand, our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to contribute to the success of major projects in Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking Energy projects and be an integral part of Queensland's transition to a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the successful delivery of a multi-million dollar project, collaborating closely with the Project Manager.
* Define project responsibilities, phases, and elements, including the assignment of personnel and contractor bid evaluations.
* Develop and manage project schedules, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
* Provide technical input into procurement processes, overseeing execution and management of procurement activities.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, contractual, and safety standards.
* Estimate budgets, generate proposals, and manage project finances throughout the project life cycle.
* Check and finalise material requirements from the Bill of Materials (BOM).
* Summarise and report on test results.
* Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and propose suitable solutions.
* Acting as a liaison between design and field operations, project procurement, site construction support, quality systems implementation, project estimation, tendering, reporting, and testing/commissioning support.
About You:
* Degree in Engineering.
* Experience in High Voltage (HV) projects.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the energy or construction sector.
* Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, design, and contracts management.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Working knowledge of engineering codes and safety standards.
* Previous experience in wind/solar/transmission projects is desirable but not essential.
