The Department of Health is seeking a highly self-motivated Registered Nurse to join the Anaesthesia Nursing team at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The Role:
The Registered Nurse - Anaesthesia Nursing:
* Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families, and other health professionals.
* Is an integral part of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, focusing on collaboration with the Anaesthetist and other members of the perioperative team to provide support for the safe administration of anaesthesia and effective back-up during critical anaesthetic situations.

The Team:
The Anaesthetic Nursing team provides safe, high-quality care to patients/clients undergoing elective and emergency procedural and surgical anaesthesia.
The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is the largest public hospital in the state, operating at a level 6 capability, providing acute inpatient and outpatient surgical services for the Tasmania Health Service Hospitals South (THS Hospitals South) and serving as the tertiary referral for complex patients from THS Hospitals North and THS Hospitals Northwest.
Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, full-time or part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Services) Agreement 2023.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances may be available:
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
* Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more.
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
