About the Role : As the Heatwave Resilience Project Officer, you'll lead a groundbreaking Vic Health project, "Keeping Cool in the Central Goldfields." You'll play a vital role in helping our community adapt to extreme heat by raising awareness, creating cooling refuges, and empowering residents to support each other during high temperatures. Your work will make a real difference, particularly for those at high risk, including the elderly, young children, and people living with disabilities. What You'll Do: Coordinate stakeholder engagement and community outreach initiatives. Develop and implement a communications plan to increase awareness of heat-related health risks. Organise school sessions, community workshops, and targeted consultations with local groups. Map and activate "cool spaces" across the Shire to provide relief during heatwaves.
