About the role
Currently we are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join the corporate finance team, based in Townsville. The Finance Officer assists the Finance Accountants in the sound financial management of selectability and associated entities through the delivery of comprehensive timely and accurate accounting and payroll processing and financial administrative support services. The key responsibilities of the Finance Officer include, but are not limited to:
* manage and process the company’s payroll on a timely basis
* ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
* maintain accurate payroll records and reports
* handle payroll inquires and resolve and discrepancies
* collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations
* stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations
About you
To be successful you must:
* experience and competence at an advanced level in the use of MYOB and Microsoft excel
* understanding of job costing processes
* high understanding of the operation of different awards, including SCHADS, Aged Care, Nursing, Education and Health Professionals awards
* excellent oral and written communication skills
* excellent interpersonal skills; capacity to interact with staff at all levels and to work effectively with the team
* high level organisational, administrative and project management skills, including the ability to set priorities against competing priorities and meet deadlines
* ability to work under minimal supervision

* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
