Senior Solutions Architect (m/f/d) - APACVerverica seeks an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our Customer Success team in APAC. In this highly technical role, you will design, implement, and optimize real-time data streaming solutions, focusing specifically on Apache Flink and Ververica's Streaming Data Platform. You'll collaborate directly with customers and cross-functional teams, leveraging deep expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native technologies to deliver high-impact solutions.This role focuses on delivering professional services, including hands-on technical implementation, architecture consulting, and performance optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze customer requirements and design scalable, reliable, and efficient stream-processing solutionsProvide technical implementation support and hands-on expertise deploying Apache Flink and Ververica's platform in pre-sales and post-sales engagementsDevelop prototypes and proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations to validate and showcase solution feasibility and performanceOffer architectural guidance, conduct in-depth technical reviews, and promote best practices in stream processingDeliver professional services engagements, including technical training sessions, workshops, and performance optimization consultingAct as a subject matter expert on Apache Flink, real-time stream processing, and distributed architecturesCreate and maintain high-quality technical documentation, reference architectures, best-practice guides, and whitepapersStay informed on emerging streaming technologies, cloud platforms, and data engineering methodologiesWork closely with Product and Engineering teams to share customer insights and influence platform improvementsRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field7+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or solutions architectureAt least 5 years of experience working with distributed systems, data engineering, or software architecture, including a minimum of 2 years specializing in Apache FlinkStrong proficiency in Java; additional experience with Python and SQL is beneficialPractical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)Deep knowledge of cloud-native deployment architectures and experience with AWS, GCP, or AzureDemonstrated expertise in performance tuning, monitoring, debugging, and optimizing distributed data processing pipelinesProven experience conducting technical workshops, trainings, or delivering professional services directly to customersExceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex technical environmentsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable conveying technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to travel when requiredPreferred and beneficial qualifications:Experience with managed stream-processing services such as Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, Google Dataflow, Azure Stream Analytics, or Spark Structured StreamingFamiliarity with data serialization formats (e.g., Avro, Protobuf, Parquet)Hands-on experience with modern data infrastructures, including data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses, and NoSQL databasesKnowledge of security, compliance, and governance best practices within streaming data environmentsContributions to open-source projects or active involvement in relevant technical communitiesBenefitsThis role is ideal for someone deeply passionate about real-time data processing, eager to tackle complex technical challenges directly alongside customers, and motivated by impactful, hands-on consulting engagements.
