A renowned not-for-profit organisation is looking for a seasoned Financial Modelling expert to temporarily join their team and assist with the implementation of a new funding model. This role involves close collaboration with finance, operations, and policy teams to ensure the financial sustainability and viability of the services provided. The ideal candidate must be adept at working collaboratively across departments.
Your new role
* Work with the Head of Data and Systems to create detailed budget models that meet the needs of the current programs.
* Develop cash flow projections to evaluate the financial health of aged care services.
* Create and maintain a rolling cash flow statement.
* Examine funding structures and evaluate their financial impact on service delivery.
* Create unit cost models to establish new pricing structures that align with operational costs and regulatory standards.
* Perform payroll modelling, including staff utilisation and workforce planning, to enhance efficiency.
* Partner with finance, operations, and policy teams to develop and improve financial strategies.
* Offer data-driven insights and recommendations to aid decision-making.
* Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
* Ensure adherence to government funding models and financial reporting requirements.
* Support scenario analysis and forecasting to assess financial risks and opportunities.
* Model brokerage services and compare costs against internal pricing structures to ensure competitive and sustainable service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
* CPA/CA qualification or progress towards certification.
* Experience in financial modelling, budgeting, and cost analysis, desirably in aged care or healthcare if possible.
* Strong understanding of home care funding structures and government funding models.
* Proficiency in payroll modelling, workforce utilisation, and cost allocation methodologies.
* Advanced skills in Excel and financial modelling tools; experience with ERP systems is desirable.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Knowledge of regulatory changes and compliance requirements in the aged care sector.
* High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance in government-funded programs.

* This role requires you to be majorly in the office for 38hrs of the week with some flexibility if needed.

* 3-month contract starting ASAP with possible extension
