ORCHARD / PROPERTY MANAGER Morbank Pastoral is a small, family-owned avocado and citrus farming business located in the Somerset Brisbane valley region of Queensland. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orchard/Property Manager who demonstrates a strong work ethic, along with a commitment to integrity and dependability. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in agriculture, staff management and the ability to make confident, informed decisions independently. Key responsibilities include: Perform orchard tasks: pruning, irrigation, pest control, maintenance and harvesting Employ, supervise, and mentor casual staff and seasonal workers Ensure compliance with WH&S and Fresh care food quality standards Responsible for business documentation, registers, costing, planning, and purchasing of equipment, spare parts, fertilizers, and all other agricultural supplies essential for operational efficiency Maintain & repair farm machinery, buildings, and irrigation systems Ad hoc tasks to ensure the property remains well presented About you: The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, adaptability, and a passion for agriculture. While avocado experience is preferred, applicants with expertise in citrus, macadamias, or other tree crops are also encouraged to apply. Required experience / qualifications: Permanent Australian resident Experience in farm management, ideally within avocados or citrus preferred Business acumen to maintain business records, registers and supplier relationships A positive attitude, adaptability, and a passion for agriculture Mechanical aptitude to repair and maintain farm mach., equip. and infrastructure Current driver`s lic. desirable but not essent. Forklift licence HR license Chemical handling cert. First aid cert.
