We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Midwife to join our team, focusing on high-risk antenatal and postnatal care, with a specific emphasis on women with drug and alcohol concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Midwife in this role, you will be responsible for coordinating safe and effective care for high-risk antenatal women, postnatal women, and babies in the immediate postnatal period. Additionally, you will be involved in the care of women with drug and alcohol concerns, high-risk mental health in the Pregnancy Enhancement Program (PEP), and admissions through the Emergency Department for early pregnancy concerns or persistent pelvic pain.
Roles and Responsibilities Include:
* Coordinating and providing direct care to women and their families during the antenatal and postnatal period, with a primary focus on those with drug and alcohol concerns.
* Supporting the orientation and supervision of new staff and students, acting as a role model to promote evidence-based practice.
* Collaborating with Obstetric teams and Allied Health Teams in a multidisciplinary approach.
* Ensuring clinical care is of the highest quality, consistent with current evidence and practice initiatives in the relevant area of specialty.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Registered Midwife with current registration and endorsement from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated experience in providing high-risk antenatal and postnatal care, particularly with women facing drug and alcohol concerns.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
