Assistant Director Cyber Operations and Assurance
THE ROLE:
Austrade is seeking a skilled and experienced analyst to join the Cyber Operations and Assurance team as the Assistant Director Cyber Operations and Assurance. This role will assist in the delivery of cyber security in Austrade, particularly security operations.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
1. Conducting comprehensive analysis of Information Communications Technology (ICT) services and associated security systems to identify irregularities and minimise risk
2. Managing and coordinating response for cyber security incidents and threats
3. Establishing policies, procedures and treatments to ensure preventative and recovery strategies are in place to minimise risks to Austrade ICT systems
4. Providing security-focused technical advice to the Director Cyber Security and Risk, and cyber security support for projects and other initiatives
5. Maintaining and managing registers, tools and other assets
6. Conducting independent research, analysis and reporting
7. Undertaking audits to validate controls, and providing recommendations for remediation
8. Supervising and managing the small Cyber Operations and Assurance team
9. Contributing to the strategic direction of the agency through input to business planning
10. Taking responsibility for the achievement of own outcomes, monitoring progress and following through in order to deliver quality results
11. Contributing to service delivery and the achievement of desired outcomes, while upholding the Australian Public Service Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct and Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles
