Ongoing position offered for an experienced Diesel Mechanic Your new company Our client is an Australian-owned and operated waste management company who are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team and work out of their remote workshops. This role is a contract position with the view of permanency after a 6-month period. Reporting directly to the workshop foreman, this position will involve but not be limited to: General services, repairs, and maintenance of machinery used within a transfer station Both major and minor repairs Carrying out breakdown repairs Scheduled maintenance What you'll need to succeed Certificate III Heavy Diesel Technologies or equivalentExtensive experience working on a variety of machineryA current HR truck driving licence and forklift licence would be advantageous.Experience in hydraulics, automotive electrics, and weldingFamiliarity with quality assurance & occupational health & safetyGood communication and organisational skillsBe reliable, motivated, and able to work under pressure and changing priorities.
