As Senior Manager of Asset Accounting you will ensure proper management of asset-related matters, focusing on valuation, compliance, revaluations, capitalisation, policy and process improvement.
INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Ensure that asset accounting and reporting is accurate.
2. Work closely and support the financial reporting team.
3. Manage and lead the Fixed Asset Accounting team to ensure integrity and accuracy of asset and depreciation accounts and their projections.
4. Ensure compliance with asset capitalisation and valuation policies, and the relevant regulatory requirements.
5. Facilitate effective interactions with relevant asset / project / business managers to confirm integrity of asset data,
6. Manage the timely delivery of the asset interim / comprehensive revaluation reports by working closely with the external valuers and relevant asset manager.
7. Work closely with the financial statutory reporting and budgeting team and provide guidance on the complex asset accounting and valuation matters.
8. Provide asset accounting stewardship, guidance and expert advice across the organisation.
9. Contribute to asset accounting processes and system improvements when required.
10. Demonstrate the five ways of lending behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for the greater good.
INCLUDED IN WHAT YOU NEED:
11. Must have relevant tertiary qualification and professional membership of CPA/CA.
12. Extensive experience in government sector accounting, in particularly assets accounting and valuations.
13. Experience in a similar role managing a team.
14. Excellent communication skills.
15. The ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and determine key operational objectives.
16. Deep understanding of capital financial terminology, policies and processes to planning, forecasting, budget preparation and management.
17. Ability to Identify and analyse trends, review data and evaluate business options to ensure business cases are financially sound.
MUST HAVE clear police check, Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.
