JOB DESCRIPTION Assist clients to identify and self-assess their eligibility to claim the R&D Tax Incentive program Manage engagement communications, understanding the R&D legislative criteria, and deliver high quality work Work with a highly engaged team About the Role: Our R&D and Government Incentives team is expanding and we're looking for a Manager to join our vast community of solvers.
The R&D team brings our purpose to life by bringing together a diverse group of accountants, lawyers, engineers, scientists, and software developers who are passionate about helping eligible businesses to self-assess and apply for the R&D tax incentive program, as well as access other State and Federal government grant programs.
Collaborating with colleagues, you will assist clients in the manufacturing, engineering, biotech, agriculture, technology, mining, energy and a variety of other sectors to access the R&D Tax Incentive program and assist with applications for State/Federal Government grants.
This will involve working with clients to assist identify, evaluate and document the eligible R&D activities conducted, and calculate the expenditure incurred on the R&D activities.
This role will involve analysing the technical details of the R&D activities against the relevant legislative criteria, identifying risks, reviewing work from our consultants and senior consultants, and preparing the R&D Applications and R&D Tax Incentive Schedule.
It is varied, interesting work that involves lots of interaction with our clients' management, operational and finance teams.
You'll help solve complex problems by using your skills in: Communication where you will be tasked with verbally scoping R&D activities and leading the discussions with our clients Apply your critical thinking and independent judgment to a range of technical and commercial issues Time and task management skills where you will be required to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines People skills where you will be required to work closely with our consultants and senior consultants to provide learning opportunities and regular feedback on their performance In our R&D team, your impact will be seen by: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for collaboration within our team with our clients Demonstrating your ability to effectively project manage by planning and completing jobs efficiently and thoroughly.
This includes having great time and task management skills ensuring that key deadlines are met for our clients What you will bring to the role: You will have experience assisting companies apply for the R&D Tax Incentive program ideally with experience working in a Big 4 or mid-tier R&D team You have a degree in law, accounting, science, engineering, technology, mathematics or software development You are inquisitive, have a desire to learn and work in a dynamic environment About PwC: At PwC, we are a human-led, tech-powered community of solvers.
