A brand new opportunity exists for an experienced and dedicated Theatre Services Manager to lead the Theatre Unit on a permanent full-time basis at a private hospital located in Newcastle. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Theatre Service Coordinator, you will facilitate the smooth running of the department and operating sessions. This opportunity will see you responsible for coordinating the continuum of care relating to surgical /anaesthetic intervention in order to provide an optimal surgical outcome for the perioperative patients. You will also be responsible for coordinating the Day Surgery and Recovery Units. This opportunity will see you work closely with the Theatre Services Manager to achieve results and support the team by leading, coaching, mentoring, and inspiring through your actions to achieve positive patient and departmental outcomes. REQUIREMENTS
1. Relevant registration with AHPRA;
2. At least 3 years of experience in Perioperative Nursing;
3. Strong knowledge of ACORN standards;
4. Prior demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and developing others;
5. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
6. Knowledge of quality/continuous improvement processes.
