About the Role

Ingham, surrounded by World-Heritage listed rainforests and some of Australia's most beautiful natural wonders, is home to Palms Aged Care, a 50 Bed Service. We are looking for part-time Registered Nurses to work a variety of shifts.

As a Registered Nurse at Palms Aged Care, you will be an integral member of our care team, working closely with the Service Manager and Allied Health professionals. Your role will involve engaging with our residents, evaluating their care needs, and providing comprehensive guidance to nursing and care staff.

Your key responsibilities will include:
">

* Conducting baseline and required focus assessments of individual clients' needs and recording findings within a Positive Wellbeing Model.
">
* Developing and reviewing care plans based on assessment findings of individual client needs, ensuring that care strategies are based on evidence.
">
* Evaluating the effectiveness of care strategies in consultation with client, their representatives and other members of the care team.
">
* Maintaining client documentation in accordance with electronic documentation and organisational and legislative requirements.
">
* Liaising and collaborating with internal/external service providers in the provision of services.
">

Key qualifications and experience for this role include:

* A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
">
* Some residential aged care experience.
">
* The ability to problem solve using best practice methods and have demonstrated clinical knowledge.
">
* High level of professional written and verbal communication.
">
* Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
">
* Current National Police and NDIS Screening Check, or ability to obtain.
">
* Possess a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate or willingness to update.
