ABOUT THE ROLE In this role you will aid in the development and delivery of world-class operational capabilities and systems to our national business. As a Software Engineering specialist, it will be your priority to develop, maintain, and support high-quality, robust, and scalable software. This role will involve the use of Android technologies, .NET technologies and includes different JavaScript-based frameworks. We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, development and maintenance of high-performance Android applications using Android, Xamarin, or MAUI technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring smooth integration between front-end (60%) and back-end (40%) components. Optimise mobile application performance and ensure scalability across a range of devices and operating systems. Work closely with product managers and UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive and responsive user interfaces that meet business and user needs. Develop and maintain APIs, back-end services, and databases to support mobile app functionality. Ensure the app's security, performance, and stability through effective testing, debugging, and performance tuning. Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development best practices and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the application. ABOUT YOU Strong experience in Android development with a focus on both front-end (UI/UX) and back-end (services, databases). Expertise in mobile cross-platform frameworks such as Xamarin or MAUI Experienced with .Net Technologies and JavaScript based frameworks Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, particularly within a CI/CD environment. Ability to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver a seamless mobile experience. Passionate about mobile technology and delivering high-quality user experiences.
