The opportunity
This role is based in Emerald, Queensland and involves daily travel to our customer site located a short drive from our Emerald Depot. We are looking for an experienced and Licensed Electrical Technician with a background in power generation to join the Cat Rental division of our business.
About you
* A Grade Electrical License
* Demonstrated experience in maintaining and repairing diesel power generation equipment
* High-level organisational and communication skills – written and verbal.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Refrigeration experience would be valuable.
* Ability to work autonomously at a customer mine site location
* Self-motivated, driven and a self-starter
* Sound knowledge of computer and software systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing of power generation and plant fleet located at our customer site and in the Emerald region if required.
* Troubleshoot, maintain clean and repair fleet.
* General forklift operation, cleanliness, safety and maintenance.
* End to end management of equipment at our customer site
* Preparation and completion of service, job reports, time sheets and other reports in a timely and efficient manner.
* Monitoring and ordering of fleet spares and consumables as needed.
* Paid daily travel to and from our customer site.
* 5 & 2 roster - 7.6 hour ordinary day.
* Participation in an On-Call Roster.
