They are currently looking to hire a Project Manager IP Networking in Sydney.
This household brand is offering a professional team environment and above industry wages The purpose of this position is to provide Project Management services to support the delivery of a key strategic business initiatives as part of Networks Engineering.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will report into the Program Manager and take accountability for the delivery of one or more complex Transport and IP network projects, whether they are stand-alone or within a program structure.
The role requires to work within a Core Team environment, generally consisting of Network Engineering Directors and Associate Directors, IT delivery teams and Network Operations.
As such the Senior Project Manager must exhibit a broad range of qualities in order to gain/maintain credibility and successfully lead our Projects/Programs.
This role will cover end to end project delivery for various initiatives related to infrastructure build, solution and services onboarding, services migration, decommissioning, networks remediation and miscellaneous upgrades projects in Transport and IP network.
Skills and Experience: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ten or more years of Project Management experience; • Demonstrated experience applying Waterfall and Agile methodologies using Prince2/PMP to deliver projects; • Good understanding of transport networks (e.g., MPLS, DWDM) and IP networking (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls); • Strong leadership qualities, including building and motivating teams and organisational development skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles; • Demonstrated stakeholder management; • Solid MS Project/Project Scheduling capabilities; • A strong skills base among areas such as, financial and budget management and IT governance processes; • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the development, integration and deployment of project phases; • Ability to work autonomously or within a portfolio team to meet objectives; • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability in developing and publishing project documentation, including, but not limited to project status reports and project management plans.
