Job Description Responsibilities: Oversee budgeting processes, ensure adherence to guidelines, and provide insights into financial changes. Manage monthly reporting and forecasting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare detailed financial analysis and commentary to support operational decisions. Provide financial insights to executives to optimise performance, acting as a liaison between finance and operations, ensuring sound financial oversight and controls. Evaluate business cases, initiatives, and tenders for financial impact and risk. Use financial analysis to support operational performance and commercial success. Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including researchers and operational managers. Communicate financial results effectively to non-financial stakeholders. The Successful Applicant Profile: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce. Membership with CA or CPA. Experience in financial support within complex organisations. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Advanced Excel capabilities. Knowledge of research sector operations and funding guidelines is desirable.
