About us:Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) Podiatry aims to deliver evidence-based high-risk foot services to consumers of Queensland Health who have complex chronic disease, acute foot conditions, and lower limb musculoskeletal conditions associated with hospitalisation. This will include, but is not limited to those with amputation, foot ulceration, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformity. The Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mt Morgan Podiatry team provides services to eligible patients within Rockhampton, Gladstone, Capricorn Coast, Mt Morgan, Biloela and Woorabinda.Accredited Exercise Physiologists work as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver specialised exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. Exercise Physiologists provide physical activity and behaviour change support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, cancer, arthritis, COPD and many more for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client's clinical status.About the role:Provide professional leadership, operational management, strategic direction, evaluation and advocacy, as well as professional and clinical governance of Podiatry and Exercise Physiology services and staff, across CQHHS.Lead the development of Podiatry and Exercise Physiology services across CQHHS, through supporting the delivery of evidence-based, patient centred care.This position reports operationally to the Director Allied Health – Sub-Acute (Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan) and professionally to the Executive Director Allied Health.All Podiatrists and Exercise Physiologists employed in HP positions within CQHHS professionally report to this position.About you:The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Podiatry or Exercise Physiology.
