The Intelligent Automation Process Developer is responsible for developing and delivering automated processes that assist achieve the desired benefits for the business, our staff and our customers.
The role is permanent full time and can be conducted from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
The Process Developer will engage with relevant business stakeholders and teams where automation opportunities exist, to scope and document existing processes at a key-stroke level, and design and build automated processes utilising the Blue Prism (or equivalent) software platform.
This role is also responsible for supporting existing automated processes to implement enhancements, as well as assist with identifying and resolving issues with automated processes in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Identification, Design & Build
1. Identify new process opportunities that are aligned with the broader MMS business and IT strategies and accurately analyse and estimate their feasibility for automation.
2. Working with the Process Owner and Subject Matter Experts, analyse and document the relevant business processes for automation.
3. Design Blue Prism (or equivalent software) process automation solutions in accordance with the software’s standard design principles and best practice guidelines.
4. Configure and test new Blue Prism (or equivalent software) process automations using an efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand approach.
5. Identify and communicate challenges, changes, complexity, and factors that could impact the success, timeline, and or budget of new automation delivery.
6. Maintain and iteratively update automation solution documentation.
7. Specify and develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios for the new automations and facilitate UAT with the Process Owner and Subject Matter Experts.
8. Deploy automated processes and monitor during hyper-care phase.
9. Regularly inform the Automation Lead of new process automation delivery updates.
Production Support
10. Support existing Blue Prism (or equivalent software) automations and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
11. Problem solve issues that arise in day-to-day running of automated processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required.
12. Assist the Automation Lead with optimisation of automation solution licencing utilisation.
13. Communicate any identified process risks and issues to the Automation Lead and provide inputs to the change control process.
14. Liaise with the Automation Lead, Service Desk or Infrastructure team, where escalation is required in regards to any identified issues with Blue Prism (or equivalent) software/infrastructure.
15. Leverage vendor partners and the broader Intelligent Automation community to gain updated knowledge on new tools or suggested improvements that could benefit the MMS Intelligent Automation team.
To be considered for this role you will ideally possess the following certificates:
16. SS&C Blue Prism Certified Developer (minimum requirement)
17. SS&C Blue Prism Certified Professional Developer (preferred)
18. SS&C Blue Prism Certified Solution Designer (preferred)
19. Experience with other related automation tools such as UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate will be highly regarded
And possess the following attributes:
20. Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration of automated processes in the Blue Prism (or equivalent software) product.
21. The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery.
22. Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
23. Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
24. The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind.
25. An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines.
26. An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
27. A self starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
