Electrical Supervisor - Utility Scale SolarJob Description: Electrical Supervisor (Client-Side)Project: Utility-Scale Solar FarmLocation: Shepparton RegionRole Overview: The Electrical Supervisor will oversee all electrical installation and commissioning works on a utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plant and associated substation. Acting on behalf of the client, the role ensures that the contractor delivers high-quality work in compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Oversight: Monitor and inspect all electrical works, including PV arrays, inverters, transformers, and substation installations.Ensure that contractors adhere to design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards.Verify proper installation and testing of electrical systems, including cabling, earthing, and high-voltage equipment.Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Review and approve contractor work method statements, risk assessments, and test results.Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including IEC, NEC, and local regulations.Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce adherence to site safety protocols and electrical safety standards.Participate in safety audits and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.Coordination and Reporting: Liaise with contractors, consultants, and the client team to resolve issues and clarify technical queries.Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to the project manager.Support commissioning activities and handover documentation.Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate documentation of all electrical works, including redline drawings, test reports, and quality records.Verify that as-built documentation aligns with completed works.Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in electrical supervision, preferably on utility-scale solar projects, but open to other power projects.Ideally an understanding of PV plant components and substation systems, including high-voltage systems.Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.Skills and Competencies: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Effective communication and leadership abilities.Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools (preferred).Certifications: Relevant safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, High Voltage Switching, or equivalent).#J-18808-Ljbffr
