The Women’s & Children’s Division of Western Health invites applications from specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists to either sessional or full-time, fixed term leave cover from 2 January 2025 until 4 July 2025.
A range of clinical roles can be accommodated for suitable applicants – including sessional work in outpatients in obstetrics and/or gynaecology, sessional appointments including on call and substantive (permanent) appointments with access to Clinical Support Time.
* These fulltime positions would suit experienced clinicians who are able to contribute to our team-based care system and support a collaborative model of maternity care in a busy, high complexity, tertiary level maternity service.
* The roles involve acute obstetrics (Birth Suite and Maternity Assessment Centre), antenatal clinics, caesarean section lists, and teaching and training of junior medical staff.
* The service is a training centre for Fellowship of The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist and is supported by 24 registrars and 16 HMOs or Senior HMOs.
* With an expressed aim of becoming the best O&G training centre in Australia, experience in supporting trainees and ensuring their advancement would be valuable.
* A specialist interest in high risk obstetrics, and/or ultrasound, and/or maternal fetal medicine would be particularly valued.
